Darius and the Clouds" "The House on Mango Street"

In the vignettes entitled, "Darius and the Clouds," and "And Some More," Esperanza and her friends spend a lot of time analyzing things in nature like the clouds. Use the following links to learn more about the children's observations of clouds as cumulus. The links will tell you how clouds are classified. When you are finished viewing, create a picture of clouds using cotton balls. Then, write a paragraph using figurative language to explain what your cloud is and the type of cloud it could be classified as. (Darius said the cloud he saw was God)

After you create your artwork and paragraph.

  • Type your paragraph on this post.
  • Take a picture of your artwork and upload it to "My Drive."
  • Turn on the sharing link to your picture and paste as a link in your post.
